The Korean International Statistical Society is a non-profit corporation dedicated to educational, charitable and scientific purposes. It was officially incorporated on Mar 8th, 2011 as a non-profit corporation in Oregon, U. S. A. and was determined as a 501(c)(3) public charity by IRS. The membership is open to all individuals and organizations who are interested in Statistics/Biostatistics.

The purpose of this International Year of Statistics (Statistics 2013) is to promote the importance of Statistics, through the combined energies of societies and organizations worldwide, to the broader scientific community, business and government data users, the media, policy makers, employers, students, and the general public.
